Although it was with a very heavy heart we had to shut our doors in March for the lockdown we have been using our time to make some much needed improvements to the pub and holiday cottage.
With local produce being so important to what we do we thought why not grow some of our own? With that in mind we spent the first month turning the unused courtyard behind the pub into an allotment themed dining area. We now have our own asparagus, wild garlic, cherries and so much more. Thinking local and homemade we built all of our own beds and even the tables from 100% local and reclaimed wood so now have a beautiful, intimate area to eat, drink and enjoy the sun.
The pub itself has all had a nice fresh coat of paint, some small redecorations and more than anything a massive plan to make sure everyone is as safe as possible when we are allowed to reopen. We have halved the seating inside to allow for social distancing and can’t wait to be able to welcome you all back.
Falabella, our holiday cottage, has had a complete overhaul. A new fire place built from handmade Norfolk bricks, new wooden floors, a complete new bathroom, the list goes on. We are very proud of our quaint, cosy cottage and encourage you all to come see it and stay.
We hope you have all stayed safe and look forward to seeing you soon
